On a rather blustery day in June last year, I headed to Channels Estate for the wonderful wedding of Sophie & David. After photographing one of my best friends weddings here a few years back, I was excited to return again and get stuck in! Sophie was adamant she wanted an outdoor ceremony, but with the way the wind was blowing it was a bit hit or miss as to whether we would make it outside!

The weather stayed dry thankfully, and although there were a lot of ‘hang-onto-your-hat’ moments, we managed to make use of the lovely gardens & backdrops surrounding Channels – my favourite spot in particular is the walk between the row of trees. So many gorgeous places to take David and his new wife Sophie, who totally rocked her fabulous Mori-Lee dress!

During the meal I was made aware of a BIG surprise which was coming – we weren’t told exactly what was happening, but to be on our toes as Sophie David were not aware. We kept calm and waited for something dramatic to happen. The speeches went on… nope nothing out of the ordinary there, but then all of a sudden a rogue waitress made a huge scene. The faces on Sophie & David were a picture, as all of a sudden three waiters burst into song and within minutes had the Bride & Groom and all of their guests singing, dancing and waving their napkins about. It was amazing and such a great end to the reception before the dancing kicked off!
