WINTER WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT
APTON HALL, ESSEX
Christmas came early for Ellenia & Chris as they celebrated their beautiful Winter wedding at Apton Hall. Set in the Essex countryside, Apton Hall lends itself to an impressive sweeping driveway before you walk the last few steps through the gateway and into their intimate courtyard.
Apton Hall welcomed the guests with its picture-perfect glow, and the iconic modern barn was dressed beautifully by Simply Rustic, complete with florals by a wonderful dear friend of Ellenias and finished off with fairy lights for a classic warm feel. Ellenia chose perfect deep greens for her wedding party, against gentle hues of blues for the Groomsmens suits and then cream florals with lots of greenery for the flowers and displays.
As always Apton Halls Chef displayed another incredible Wedding Breakfast, and after some fantastic speeches we made our way outside to bring some more magic to the day with sparklers! What could be more fun?!
Ellenia and her Bridesmaids got ready in the Dovecot suite at Apton Hall. It’s lovely to have the freedom of the upstairs & downstairs area for space and intimate moments with family and the Bridal Party too!
The boys finalised their getting ready at Apton Hall too. It makes sense to use the spacious Granary Room and keep an eye on guests as they arrive.
Helped along by the team at Apton Hall, Ellenia made her way to the Ceremony room.
Theres still nothing better than seeing those reactions of the Bride & Groom as they see each other for the first time.
After a beautiful ceremony, everyone made their way out to the courtyard at Apton Hall to sprinkle confetti and enjoy the canapes & drinks! We also made the most of the daylight and focused on the formal group shots.
The Wedding Breakfast Room was decorated in simple, green and white decor with candlelight. Complete with Christmas fairy lights, it really gives that warm and cosy feel to such a special day!
Whilst it was still daylight we took some time to reflect and enjoy some couple portraits; making the most of the beautiful grounds and and a few snuggly cuddles with their son too. It was the perfect moment as the sun was just starting to descend!
Speeches are a great opportunity to capture lots of emotional moments. There are so many giggles, belly laughs and teary eyes - everyone is so happy in this joyous time!
We exited after the speeches to a lit-up courtyard and took this time to have some fun with the sparklers! Being a Winter wedding we lose daylight quicker however I personally find it a magical time as we can enjoy other aspects that make a wedding special, like sparklers, fire works and hot chocolate stations (just to name a few!)
For the evening, Fox & Braces created a cracking atmosphere and had everyone up on the dancefloor! We didn’t expect anything less!
